Book number four of six books in this military science fiction series. I read the well printed and bound MMPB published by Baen. I will be ordering the fifth and sixth books in the series.

Early in the 25th century, the Earth is a happy and amazing place. People live hundreds of years with the usage of immunoboost, a nanobot enhanced total blood replacement. Teleport technology has been perfected and is used for local and up to three light years of travel.

But all is not well. 150 years ago, the Mars colony rebelled in a horrible bloodbath between the two worlds. The rebellion was eventually put down but the instigators escaped using a new teleport technology. A group of military chased them over thirty light years across the galaxy. This is their story.

I forgot to mention that Travis Taylor believe that all tanks and fighters will reconfigurable on the fly between the main functional mode and a body armor mode by the 24th century. In others words, transformers. Sounds cool but in practice, materials problems have been a major problem in this area. Several of the jet fighters in the past have had movable wings in flight, most notably the F-14. Apparently it is a major issue when one wing changes position and the other does not. But, one does note that materials are changing all the time and usually for the improvement.

Travis tells a good story, Liked the book, And now have to wait for the next one
Read two of the series and were good reading.
Great story - Love the author. You have to read the series
The action picks ups from the last book and keeps all of the plot points moving along nicely. There are times you want to focus on just one story arc but the sequences are very good and you'll catch up to that intriguing arc fast enough. A nice read on a lazy summer day.
It is cutting edge science fiction. It is egdy. The Tau Ceti Agenda series is for the informed science and technology enthusiast like myself. It would be excellent if more such things could be devoted to exploration and interstellar development instead of only this horrifically bloody warfare.
Oh my goodness, I'd forgotten how much I thoroughly enjoy a Doc Travis book! Took me a little bit to recall the particulars of the previous three books in the series, as I read the third one back in 2009 before my son Kaleb was born. I really loved this book, and hope that I do not have to wait another seven years to get the follow-up, because as indicated by the end of this one, the next is going to be an incredible ride.
I have read all of Mr. Taylor's books and really enjoyed them all, so I was excited to see this one come out. However, the slipshod way the story is told, the gaps in time and the lack of explanation around issues in the story make it hard to follow. The previous stories make little if any mention of the AI which took over the head of the Seperatists, yet now this is the main character and the story comes across as if this was something which should have been known all along.

It's very disappointing to see such a good story idea treated so poorly.
